Retrieving Bank Balance Information is another feature that utilizes a bank connection, allowing users to directly fetch bank account balances from their bank.
This feature complements the existing bank integration functionality.
Its purpose is to enable users to check their account balance without having to log in to their banking system.
🔷 Who can access bank balances?
Bank balances are available for the office account and the company account (if the company has the "Statements" module enabled).
A new Bank Balances section has been added to the Statements module:
Users who already have an active bank connection do not need to take any additional steps to use this feature.
Users who do not have an active bank connection should first set up a bank connection to access the bank balance feature.
🔷 How does it work?
Under the Bank Account Balances tab, a table displays the balances of bank accounts with active connections:
Bank account balances can be retrieved in the morning during synchronization or manually refreshed by the user.
Automatic Account Balance Update
Upon entering the account balances page, the user should immediately see the current balance along with the date and time it was retrieved.
This data is automatically fetched every morning along with bank transactions.
On-Demand Balance Check
When accessing the account balances page, the user can click the Refresh the Balance button. The system then sends a request to the bank and returns the updated balance along with the retrieval date and time.
If there are multiple active accounts on the list, users can select several accounts and refresh their balances in bulk.
If an account is suspended, the user will be notified with an appropriate message:
"The account balance may be outdated. The bank connection is suspended due to insufficient credits."
